"The Nominating Committee has been unable to fill any of the executive positions open on next year PTSA. Since we have no nominations under the sections of the bylaws pertaining to this the PTSA will join under the Grossmont High School’s Foundation. We will continue to have the same PTSA volunteer organization doing the same type work; however we will not have to pay dues. We do encourage everyone to join the Foundation and hope to see an increase in participation. PTSA will continue to offer, under the Foundation, various parent assemblies, Parent Shadow Day, Teacher Appreciation, scholarship money, as before. Please continue to support Grossmont High School’s Parent Volunteer Organization so we can do great things for our kids. Thank you for your support, Marsha Rainey, PTSA President."

 The parents of the Class of 2010 and PTSA are carrying on a Foothiller tradition by providing our graduating seniors with a safe, sober and exciting all-night celebration of their graduation. Happy New Year and welcome back from winter break! PTSA is still going strong with activities and new membership. We are going into finals soon and you will want to buy a Final Support Kit for your student. This is a great supportive fundraiser for PTSA as well as nice for the students.
Membership and fundraising is on-going. The money that is raised goes to student scholarships and support some school programs and activities, and even sometimes to needy GHS families over the holidays. All Grossmont students benefit from PTSA support and as the state education budget gets tighter and tighter this support may become more important. We continue to have our meetings the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in room 505 of the Library building. Everyone is welcome.
